VPN FRITZ!Box configuration and troubleshooting

VPN allows us to surf the internet and access devices and “documents” as if we were at home even when we are not.

One of the most popular uses of VPN is to use it when you are abroad, to be able to see content that is not accessible in the country you are in.

This guide was made using the modem/router FRITZ!Box 7590 with version 7.29 of FRITZ!Box.

First, enable the account and internet access of your FRITZ!Box, so you won’t have problems with non-static public IP.

Now you can configure the VPN go to Internet -> Permit Access -> VPN, if it is already configured your account will appear in the central part with the VPN settings button to configure the VPN on your device, if it is not configured click on Add VPN connection:
